Read and Publish

No contract (yet) with Wiley for a new agreement from 2025

The Consortium of Swiss Academic Libraries has announced that negotiations with Wiley have not yet led to an agreement that is acceptable to both parties. The current contract expires on December 31, 2024. The University Library of Bern is making preparations for a situation without an agreement as from 2025 and will provide further information here again.

Theologian, teacher, classical philologist, botanist - the books of Benedikt Aretius from Bern, who died 450 years ago, are part of the University Library's oldest collection. A small exhibition is dedicated to the life and work of the famous scholar and displays impressive books from his former collection.

ACS: The article quota has been reached

The annual article quota for journals under the read-and-publish agreement with the American Chemical Society (ACS) has been used up. No APCs can be accepted under this agreement until the end of 2024.
