New agreement 2024–2028

From 1 January 2024 until 31 December 2028, Bernese researchers can continue to publish in the hybrid and full open access titles and now also in the journals of Cell Press and Lancet free of charge. As before, the quota of articles at Elsevier is unlimited. The new agreement also includes an AI clause.

The International Open Access Week will take place from 21-27 October 2024. Under the motto ‘Community over Commercialisation’, online, hybrid and on-site events will be held in English, German or French. Around twenty universities and libraries in Switzerland have jointly designed the programme. The programme of events on the campus of the University of Bern will follow this summer.
